Dedication to Perfection
While we certainly understand that the idea of perfection is tantamont to mathmatical infinity, we believe perfection is worth pursuing. Just like it's theoretically impossible to have infinite wealth, your exotic automobile can never be perfect in theory. However, just like you continue to strive towards building infinite wealth, we will continue to find new ways, new products from around the world to get as close to perfection as possible for your exotic automobile. Ultimately, given the opportunity to serve, you will understand why we're driven to pursue perfection.
Our Background
CP Detailing services are performed by two extremely passionate automotive enthusiasts, Christian, and me, Ciro. We have been in love with cars ever since we were children. Even as small children, Christian and I loved to make our toy cars look like brand new. I remember cleaning my remote control truck with Windex every time I got finished playing with it. I meticulously cleaned the tires, frame, plastic, windows, and so forth in an attempt to instill a fresh look on my toy. Now, after moving away from Windex and other "over the counter" consumer products, Christian and I are excited to tackle the challenges of detailing real automobiles with the same goal of making them look their best.
Ever since we acquired our first real cars back in early 2004 when we were 16, we were always obsessed with keeping our cars clean. So much in fact that we both earned the reputation as crazy car cleaners with our peers in high school. With this in mind we have always looked around the web for the best techniques and products to maintain a car's appearance. The internet provided us with the resources needed to learn this art of professional car detailing. Some claim that the level at which we detail cars count for only 1% of the population of car detailers across the United States. After my first purchase of pro-level detailing products in March of 2005, I began looking for clientele around my high school so that I can engage in word-of-mouth promotion. I am proud to say that we have grown significantly, with clients all over the mid-Atlantic and northeast regions.
Usually clients would drop their car off at my house and Christian and I will detail it conveniently in the comfort of my place of living, even during the late night hours in my protected garage. From the beginning I realized that a good detail requires hours and hours of hard, focused labor. Together, we have detailed many cars and tested various techniques on our own cars to ensure our customers will be receiving the most effective techniques possible. Unfortunately, because I am now a student at James Madison University in Virginia, I can now only detail cars in the New York Area between May and late August. Fortunately for the people in the surrounding areas of Harrisonburg, Virginia, I am able to provide my services to them on a limited basis during the school year as long as work loads permit me to do so. To do so, I will have all of my equipment in the trunk of my vehicle except for a water source (spigot) and a power source which must be provided by the client in order for me to provide some of my more involved services such as polishing, vacuuming, and washing. When I am off at school, Christian handles the detailing duties of the Northeast area.
For those not familiar with professional detailing, I will inform you that it goes well beyond the basic wash and wax exterior-wise, and well beyond the typical shop vacuuming on the inside of your vehicle. It is my firm belief, as well as the belief of others professional detailers that a vehicle's paint finish is best improved through proper paint preparation and polish. The combination of a thorough wash, clay bar, and most importantly, polish is what will really improve a paint finish because the combination removes imbedded particles and the finite scratches that restrict your finish from creating a clear reflection. Nevertheless, we still offer the traditional wash and wax and everything in-between to help improve your finish without the longer hours required when polishing. All in all, a maximum, interior/exterior detail would take anywhere from 10-20 hours, depending on the condition of the vehicle. This is because cars with poorly maintained paint finishes require more levels of polish in order to remove the deeper scratches typical of an improperly maintained paint finish. Finally, I will say that the reason why a professional detail costs so much is because it is hard labor that takes long hours if done properly. Fortunately, the resulting improvement in the appearance of a vehicle is well worth the investment and pays itself off in multiples when you look at the higher resale value of a properly detailed vehicle.
Cheers,
